Lawrence Stallman
|
My name is Lawrence Stallman. I've been sculpting for over 20 years, beginning with my early work as a puppet maker and puppeteer. I studied puppetry for two years under the internationally acclaimed puppeteer and teacher, Frank Ballard, at the University of Connecticut. In 1989 I received a Jim Henson Foundation Grant for development of my original work, Loco Motive, which was staged at the Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany, NY. In 1990 I began to create small works in clay. I have enjoyed experimenting with different styles as I've worked to develop my craft. In 2002 I was accepted as a member of NESA, the New England Sculptors Association . I have designed the latest pieces for casting in bronze. I hope you enjoy my work as it continues to evolve.
